Can Summer be around the corner?

Just Around the Corner

June and summer are just around the corner first off in a travel site from England here is their summery of June here in Michigan.

June begins the beautiful summer season in Michigan with bright sunshine amid blue skies at the helm. The long days see around 15 hours of sunlight and the rainfall averages 3″ (76.2mm) to 5″ (127mm) in the month.
The average high temperatures are in the pleasant range of 67°F (19.4°C) to 80°F (26.7°C), while the nights are comfortable between the 45°F (7.2°C) to 58°F (14.4°C) range. Temperatures reach 90°F (32.2°C) in the southeast but rarely stay high for long.
The conditions are ideal for boating and fishing in the vast number of lakes. Summer is the chance to visit the state and national parks of Mackinac Island and Isle Royale. The pristine sunshine offers ample time to paddle on the waterways or relax on a boat on one of the many lakes. Thunderstorms are occasional and bring the majority of the summer rainfall. Carry a rain jacket in the vicinity of the lakes. Do not waste a single blissful day in June in Michigan.”

That said here are the updated 15- and 30-year averages for temperature and rain fall for Grand Rapids. The new 15-year average mean for June is 69.1 and a average of 4.00” of rain fall. The updated 30 year average is 68.1 with 3.94” At Holland the 15 year average mean is 68.3 with the 30 year mean being 67.9. At Muskegon the 15-year mean is 67.7 and the 30-year men is 67.4. Since 1900 the average number of 90° days in June is just 3. There have been a total of 37 years with no days in June of 90 or better and 21 more with just 1 day.
