We have three warm days in the forecast with today probably being the best of them – temps will be in the 60s. Rain will move into the southern counties this afternoon.
A weak cold front comes through Tuesday night then a stronger cold front comes through early Thursday. Significantly cooler temperatures are expected for at least a week after that front comes through. Showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight, mostly near and south of I-96. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected Tuesday evening ahead of the cold front. Most of the severe storms should stay south of I-94 Tuesday evening.

MV & Slim 2 weeks ago I had groceries delivered from Meijers. Great experience. I had ordered one evening and it was delivered by 1 PM the next day. No problems. Person who did it ws very polite and did it very good. I got my whole order. I was very pleased. I would do it again. NOW last night I went to get on their website and had to WAIT to get on. I started an order both yesterday and again today. Well I got one item in my “cart” before the site either froze and just stopped as my next item just sat there circling. I might try again later on but you know I walk every day and there is still a lot of traffic so a lot of people are still out and about. If I have to go to Meijer I will wear a mask and gloves and try to stay as far away from other people as I can.

The average is 1.8″ the record is 15.6″ in 1961. In 2016 GR had 9.4″ in 2018 GR had 6.0″ and last year GR had 4.9″ So yes it can and has snowed in April

PASS sports, haven’t heard of that in a long time! Beautiful afternoon again today. Just about full sun with a few high clouds, 63 degrees. To bad some are stuck under a dark cloud talking about blizzards.

We sure have been trying different recipes. We have bought a couple bunches of bananas that are green… of course they ripe at the same time. Made some chocolate chip banana cookies. We have chicken in the crockpot and will add noodles later.

Try this one. We cooked pork chops in the slow cooker with potatoes, carrots, peas and onion sort of a port chop stew. The chops are so tender you do not need a knife to cut them with.

Was thinking pork chops tomorrow. We do sheet pan filled with little potatoes and Brussels sprouts with dry ranch dressing on all of it.

Beautiful night last night for stargazing. I had the telescope out in the driveway from 8:30 until 10p.m. Observed the moon (obviously), Venus, Int’l Space Station flyby, plus two distant galaxies, which look like fuzzy little snowballs, and also some star clusters. First time I’ve had it out in several months. Good thing I did, as it doesn’t sound like we are going to have another decent starry night for a while…
With clear skies the current temperature here is 32. We are now out of milk at my house and no fresh fruit so that means I will have to make a run to Meijer and hope for the best. I have a few old mask that I used when I did some painting several years ago and I have a ton of gloves also from years ago so while I am not sure how much help the old masks (face coverings) will be they will be better then using a old (or even new) cloth one. I have a box of old n95 masks left over from the H1N1 virus epidemic – had to go to Meijers this morning because we couldn’t get Shipt to deliver last week. Sure is a new venture in shopping…
I tried to put together a delivery order this morning and while I was able to put milk into the cart when I tried to put the next item in it looked like the site just froze up so I decided I would just wait until tomorrow and put one of my old n95 masks on with some gloves I have when I did clean up work for the schools and go to Miejer instead of trying to have it delivered. If anyone has success with that delivery let us all know.

Just checking long range around the 20th GFS shows a pretty big low.presure system in the the great lks. Starting out as severe weather ending with a big blizzard something to keep a eye on one thing for sure after Wednesday we maybe below normal all the way into May kind of like a year ago!! ….If that’s the case the blog will remain quit great Scott!
