I miss not hearing Tiger baseball on the radio.  I was surprised one day last week when I turned on a local station and low and behold the Tigers were being broadcast with Justin Verlander on the mound striking out batters left and right.  I was sad as were many when Justin left the Tigers.  One of my favorite pitchers to watch was Mark ‘the bird’ Fidrych who played in the 1970s.  He was known for grooming the pitcher’s mound to remove cleat marks, talking to himself and talking to the baseball.  He was fun to watch.

There are a lot of ‘best of’ games being shown on TV, especially golf, not so much basketball or baseball.  I am sure they have digitized the Tigers games and wonder why they don’t show them, especially their championship years – hey, it is better than no baseball at all.  I need a baseball fix…

Partly to mostly sunny skies will develop today. High temperatures will end up fairly close to normal for this time of the year…in the 50’s. With high pressure overhead, the wind will remain under 10 mph most of the time.  Our chances of storms increase Monday night…

It sure was a beautiful Palm Sunday. We got out and went for a short walk. I hope you all were able to enjoy the day and stay safe and healthy. It is the start of Holy Week and this year it will be different for all of us. God doesn’t care where we are in Church or not He will hear us. He is with us thru all. Lean on Him.

I too miss baseball. I have been a Tiger fan for a long time. My 1st game that I went too was in 1957. And even thought the Tigers were not good then either they won that game in the bottom of the 10th inning when Charlie (Paw Paw) Maxwell hit a two run home run. I played little league baseball (more on a Saturday post) and of course I have been working the last 14 years out at the West Michigan Whitecaps (maybe more on that on a Saturday post as well) . At this time there are plans… Read more »
