The last two days have been gorgeous for working outside (and for getting the first sunburn of the season). Humidity will be on the rise as well as our temps over the weekend. The NWS is giving a guess of the mid-80s for Sunday and Monday. There are chances of storms over the period though it won’t be a total washout.

Kent County reported more COVID cases than Wayne County yesterday. FYI, Kent County has about 1/3 of the residents of Wayne County. What is going on?!
Some might say that more are being tested in Kent County. But I do not believe that is the reason. It may be that too may people are still not taking this as seriously as they should. On my daily walks I walk near a major street and there has been a lot of traffic on that street all along but yesterday I seen where the cars and trucks were back up at the lights it was almost like a old time Friday night. It wasn’t too long ago that Michigan was #3 for most cases. Once Texas surpasses us (probably in the next week), we will be down to #8. While there are too many people not doing the right thing, many more of us are doing the right thing.

I second Indy in wishing all an enjoyable and SAFE holiday weekend (as in safe on the highways), and just use good judgement with social distancing. I want things to open back up too, but I would hate to see us locked down again because of a second wave that could have been prevented…
