After a raw and blustery day yesterday, we have a kinder, gentler weather pattern coming our way with increasing temps and lots of sunshine. We will see temps slowly increase into the mid to upper 60s as we move into the latter part of this week. Warmer than normal temps could be with us through mid-month. We didn’t get out of the 30s yesterday and had off and on snow showers as a preview to remind us that winter is close at hand.
We currently have 25° at 6 am this morning with clear skies and the full moon setting in the west.
Below is the summary for October for SW Michigan. We had 5.52 inches of rain in Otsego in October and no snow.
Nice October summary. Pretty much zero measurable snow which continues the below average snowfall from last Winter. Let’s keep it going!
And no measurable snow well into November either. I love the short winters we have!
The next 8 days look like a rarity for West Michigan in November. I believe last year we only had about 9% sunshine for the month if I remember correctly? Enjoy the sunshine because the next 2 months are usually the cloudiest of the year.
The current average sunshine for Grand Rapids in 27.7% It looks like 56.6% in 1939 is the sunniest and 5.1% was the least sunny. Last year Grand Rapids had 18% For December the average at Grand Rapids is 19.4% The sunniest 41.4% in 1936 and the least sunniest is 7.2% in 2008. Last year it was 19%

Mid to upper 60’s and sunny most of the week in November? I love it!
Well we had the first widespread snow fall of the season here yesterday. Here at my house there were several periods of snow and snow mixed with hail. And yes it was windy. The overnight low here was 24.1 but it looks like the official overnight low at GRR was 27. At this time it is partly cloudy and 32 here at my house.

Leaving a cold October starting out a cold November on the final step towards Winter woo wooo!! Seeing a little warm up towards the end of the week nothing new for November standers we may get some more post on here with it that’s about it lol!! Already seeing another big cold front on the horizon around the 10th just in time for opening of fire arms we deer hunters love it cold and snowy on that thought have a super Monday …INDY
