There are a few showers here and there in SW Michigan this morning if you very lucky you may receive one but chances are small and they will dissipate by noon. They are of the popup variety and have very little movement, they just dump their rain and dissolve.
We are in a very boring weather pattern and will be so over a good portion of the next two weeks. The heat will be the main storyline and come close to record-setting territory. That said, there is not much more to talk about except to say to stay hydrated.
Looks like HOT weather for the next two weeks or longer. Some on here would still have there furnace on the way they talked the cold weather. Lol.
Sorry, off-topic. My favorite cat, Monster was hit by a car early this morning – he is at the vet clinic resting comfortably full of pain killers. No broken bones, he has severe bruising along his hindquarters and a partially dislocated tail. The clinic is keeping him overnight for observation.
So sorry to hear that. Hope Monster has a speedy recovery.

Oh man Michael, glad it wasn’t as bad as it could have been and Monster heals up quick!
Sorry to hear about your cat Monster. Hope he mends quickly.
Summer…Warm. Thankful the season arrived correctly, as the Southern Arctic has a pathetic reputation for getting it wrong year after year. Enjoy!
Woah… 89-94 degrees the next 8 days per WOOD. Heat Wave!!
The longest number of days in a row of 90 or better at Grand Rapids that I can find is 8 that has happened several times and in some of the year there were also a few (or more) days of 100 or more. I will compare this year after the even or if Grand Rapids gets close to that number later on.

Wow Jack! Nothing but 90’s as far as the eye can see!! Fire up the AC, it’s gonna get a work out for quite a while!! HEAT WAVE 2020!!
👍
Hot is a good title for today’s post. Reached 90.5 degrees early yesterday evening, our 6th 90 degree day here. The days high for the dew point was a smothering 75! No rain, but it was very close on the radar last night. Right now the radar shows a small shower directly overhead, but no rain is falling at this time.
The official high at Holland was 89 and 88 at Grand Rapids. It did reach 91 at Muskegon. The low here at my house so far for today is just 72 while at GRR the low was 70.

We took a road trip up to Kalkaska yesterday to get some strawberry’s we got some they are not the best but they will be the last of the Michigan ones we will get for this year. The drive up was nice and there was not much traffic. The thermometer (that is rather accurate) had a reading of 82 up there. We pick up some fast food and had a nice lunch at a road side part that we had all to ourselves. On the way back home it became warner the further south we went. And by the time… Read more »
