Happy Thoughts

This is Chippy one of the three chipmunks who visit my bird feeders every day, they love the sunflower seeds and corn I put out.  He is becoming tame enough to approach to keep a closeup photo.  Not much bothers him when he is feeding, I can get within a couple of feet and talk to him.  I know, I know, it seems I am getting cabin fever when I am reaching the point of talking to the animals, but hey, I love the wildlife.

We have a couple of deer which walk along our fence line quite often in the morning, of course, they are quite skittish around humans so I can’t get close to them as they fear becoming dinner.

A lot of the spring/summer birds have returned to the area, you can tell in the morning and evening with all the chirpings and singing going on.

My cats and dogs make me happy, especially Monster my one-year-old male cat who can be quite entertaining.  He is befitting of his name due to his curiosity about all things and the way he approaches his newfound objects of entertainment.

I am generally a happy, positive person, ask my wife who has to endure my crazy attitude of various noises and songs (which to some may sound like just noise).  There are many things to find to create a least a smile, puppies come to mind, especially ones with an extra tail.

His name is Narwhal, the tail doesn’t wag and his owners decided to keep the appendage due to its cuteness factor and that it makes him unique.

Sure, it is not business as usual these days and it is up to each individual to find something to make them smile to take the edge off.  Attitude and perspective are important for both sanity and appearance.

This is staggering. From Sunday’s Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency press release:

“The latest data shows 108,710 unemployment claims were filed between last Monday and Friday, compared to a normal average of around 5,000 claims – an approximate 2,100% increase.”

Wall St expecting 2 to 3 million on Thursday. A sell-off would prove Traders have no idea what their doing, as this number is already known :/

All of this was expected and clear if you looked at the science and data around the corona virus! All of this will be getting much worse before it gets better. It may take up to 8 to 12 weeks of testing and stay at home before we start to see the curve flatten!

Cloudy here and 48. Not a bad late March day at all. Great day to get out and go for a walk (staying 6 feet from other people)

Crazy how within a week I’ve gone from buying a business to temporarily unemployed, but there are still many positives. Of course our weather has been outstanding the past 4 or 5 months. Way below normal snow and incredibly mild temps. And with the extra time now I will spend the day getting all the lawn equipment ready and running. I was worried I would have little time this year getting everything fired up, but now I have all the time in the world to work outside. I look at it as a couple week stay-cation!

I’ve kayaked the past 2 weekends on the open inland lakes! Last year, the lakes were still frozen and snow covered.
