Some look at Christianity as a fantasy that is just there to make people feel secure and to feel good. I have a younger preacher friend who says people look at us as though we are crazy, that our beliefs are crazy thinking along the line of unicorns and dragons. Though a lot of archaeology and historical scholarship has pointed out that the stuff written about in the Bible is true, our beliefs and salvation are held by faith.
Faith by definition is the strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Faith is the connecting power into the spiritual realm, which links us with God and makes Him become a tangible reality to the sense perceptions of a person.
Christianity has been around for over two thousand years. I could get into a lot of history as my main interests besides meteorology is ancient history however it would be quite lengthy and would make you sleepy.
The theme of the Bible is the prophetic and historical record of Christ’s birth and resurrection after death on the cross, his victory over death and Satan. He took the sins of the world past and present unto Himself to the grave when He rose from the tomb His victory over these things were complete. We hold these things to be true by faith and understanding.
To hold something to be true or false we must study it before condemning it, a passing glimpse will not bring us to understand it. I for one believe in these things – I do not fear death as I know my security lies in Christ and my yearnings transcend beyond the things of this world and greater things lie beyond the veil of this physical world.

We have been for weeks Rocky! Our cousin got COVID and it is definitely not anything to be messed with. He is only 42 and he was hospitalized on a ventilator for a week. Thank God he is home now, but it was nasty! Hopefully when we start going back to work next month, everyone practices good hygiene and social distancing.
I am glad your cousin is doing better. No one will be going back to work next month. The stay at home order will be extended well in May and maybe beyond! Get prepared now!
The problem is, the stress and anxiety of being unemployed is going to be mounting in this time as well and that will soon start costing lives. Our political leaders on both sides of the aisle are using this pandemic to score points and blame others for their shortcomings and the American Citizens are suffering from this politicizing. If the politicians that are supposed to be leading could work together toward the common goal, I could be optimistic. But the political infighting is just worsening the problems.
Agreed and that is why I am not listening to ANY politicians as it related to COVID 19. I only listen and read facts from scientists and raw data. This data clearly shows it is way too soon to even consider lifting the stay at home orders! I could care less about unemployment right now! It is not safe to work right now or gather in a group setting! Thank God for the dedicated health professionals and grocery store workers!
The problem is the tax base (from working people) is quickly disappearing. What happens when people are allowed to go back to work and there is nothing to go back to? Not everyone is independently wealthy as you claim to be. Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck. So you are saving people from COVID, but poverty is going to rise on and astronomical scale. Check out the mortality rates for people living in poverty.
Give me a break! The facts and date are 100% clear! The country should be on a stay at order and MI and most of the country should continue well into May!
If people go back to work too soon the pandemic will explode and the country will be far worse in the long run! These are the facts and the decision is clear!
