We picked up another 1.5 inches of snow overnight adding to our meager snowfall for the season. We haven’t broken 40 inches yet in Otsego for the winter.
The winter weather advisory continues until 7 pm this evening. Snow will diminish for a time early this morning but increase again after sunrise. The heaviest snow is expected this afternoon, particularly near and east of I-69 where the evening commute could be slowed considerably. Enjoy all that great snow! I may head over your way to cross country ski in a couple
days? Sounds great!

The POLOR VORTEX never let go this winter giving us a warmer winter sofar it stuck to the north pole and got dizzy giving that area record cold even Alaska record cold there is possibility some may break away later on giving us cooler summer months a lot of people don’t understand the POLOR VORTEX doesn’t go away during the summer months just not as strong as can break away during the summer months and heads south …INDY
Think July 2009 and all summer of 1992 or it could wait and come down in the winter on 2020/21

The snow that fell here is now ALL gone. Down to just the old snow piles.

It feels so good to have winter behind us!
Winter behind us ? It’s 28* outside still months away real warmth 70’s and 80’s…. INDY
Thanks for the facts INDY! We are have having a below normal temp week as we speak, plus I am sure we will still some cold and snow before this winter is over! Just the same old typical delusional statements from the leading warm weather fanatic! Thanks for keeping it real Indy!
No probs im upset about our Winter but yes we still have to be reasonable on here its not even March yet …We don’t want a hot March and early April not good for the growing season just ask Farmers in 2012 we had frost at the end of April killed off a lot of early growth from the 70’s and 80’s in March that year …INDY..
Currently 28* degrees out at thee YARDOFBRICKS Plainfield Township I measured a half of inch of snow today not that much from once was supposed to be a blockbuster of a storm lol … Sure will be interesting to see if we keep this wet pattern going into Spring that will for sure keep temps down like last Summer our lakes don’t need it though …INDY
The snow has now stopped here at my house. There was just a trace on the ground and with the sun peaking thru the thinning clouds the snow is now mostly all gone. At this time it is 33 here.

Great galloping galoshes – we have a massive 3 inches of snow now. Snowblower here I come!
The snow here has lighten up and now is just a few flurries and it has melted on the road, driveway and even the roofs. Also the snow plow went by (more likely than not to drop salt) but the snow was already melted. Here are the stats for February so far at GRR the mean temperateness is 27.9° that is a departure of +1.5° for the month 14.0″ (14.8″ is average for February) of snow fall has been reported for meteorological winter the total is 39.8″ and for the season the total is now at 46.6″ the meteorological winter… Read more »
Isn’t 14.8 for February a little low? Or is that through today?
The reported 30 year average at GRR according to the NWS for Grand Rapids for February is 14.8” that was based on the years from 1981 to 2010 that looks to change upward in the next set of averages. Here is site that claims to keep a tab on such information https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Michigan/Places/grand-rapids-snowfall-totals-snow-accumulation-averages.php And that 14.8” is what the NWS gives also. Good morning. Yes it is snowing here at my house, but there is just a small trace on the ground and the roofs it looks more like a heavy frost then a snow fall. The temperature at this time with light snow still falling in 28.

Getting light snow out at thee YARDofBRICKS Plainfield Township …Temps going to drop into the teens tonight turn the heat up ….Have a good Wednesday…INDY
The kids’ wish came true and no school today. All districts in the area are closed today. It’s not really that bad out. However, everyone has been itching for a snow day. Plus, a school bus near Potterville flipped on its side last week when it hit a patch of ice. I think that was an eye-opener.
This just came across the wire… They have just called out the Hamilton National Guard (yes we do to have Nat’l Gd!).
It seems that riots have broken out at the local school district; students demanding a snow day or something like that. One unconfirmed report of a teacher being hit in the back with a snirtball as she was trying to retreat to safety.
SNOW Report >>>Rockford, MI! .001 inches and piling up!
What a storm!!
Yes it may turn into a monster and GR may pick up .75 inches of snow!
Lol!!
Looks like February will be above normal for snowfall though, with the snow that’s falling at the airport.
Hard to believe but true!
CPC is a WARM bullseye! I love it!
Back to counting tenths. Not going out to measure, but a solid dusting that doesn’t quite cover the ground here. If only every Winter could be like this!
