Looking at the data from the National Hurricane Center I see nothing of note in the Atlantic, Central, or Eastern Pacific with the exception of a small tropical depression off the western coast of Mexico. Pretty boring stuff for those working at the NHC.

This is the SPC outlook for the next three days. We begin a more active weather pattern beginning late tomorrow through Thursday. These graphics tend to change a couple times a day. At this point, rainfall totals may be in the one-inch range from this next system.
As we move into the weekend it appears we will be flirting with heat advisory criteria with temps in the 90s and dewpoints in the 70s.
Mark Toragrossa was just talking about a major deracho coming next week to Michigan the set up is looking good for it we will have to keep a eye eyee on it ….That could be interesting….INDY
You may or may not have heard about the new comet visible in the sky right now, but let me say this, WOW! Having been an avid sky watcher since I was about 10 years old, I have viewed many, many comets in my life and they all have been pretty disappointing. Usually a barely visible fuzzy blob, no identifiable tail, just nothing noteworthy. This is not the case with comet Neowise! We went out last night to view it, and it is nothing short of stunning! With the unaided eye you can clearly see the flowing tail behind it,… Read more »
Here’s a link to tonight’s position of the comet:

We used this map to find it. Thanks again!!!
So did we!!! A cloud bank was coming in, but we got to view a long time before it was covered!

We now have had two days in a row of very pleasant summer weather. It is too bad we can not have this type of weather all year long. The low here at my house was 58 and the official low at Grand Rapids was 59.

Great sleeping weather overnight again had a low 58* degrees out at thee YARDofBRICKS NE of GR no fans attached I’m thinking even bigger news now then the mini heat wave last week is how much lake Michigan water temps crashed yesterday Muskegon had a water temp of 47* degrees that’s cold and crazzy from water temps near 80* last week Have a beautiful Tuesday INDY ….
One thing that some people do not realize is that on the great lakes only the top few feet get warm in the summer time. Close to the bottom of the lakes the temperature is 39° all year long. So a wind in the summer time brings up the colder water and a wind in the winter time brings up the warmer water.
