Sunny & Seasonal

We are now losing a minute and 30 seconds of daylight as we approach mid-month.  As we get into early August we lose 2 minutes per day then it is all downhill from there.  Solar noon is now 1:48 pm.  Solar noon is the moment when the Sun passes a location’s meridian and reaches its highest position in the sky. In most cases, it doesn’t happen at 12 o’clock.

Today we will have comfortable seasonable temps around 80°.  Yesterday was the first comfortable day to work outside for quite some time.  Tomorrow we will see temps begin to rise once again as a warmer humid airmass begins to creep in creating a more active weather pattern for Wednesday and Thursday.

The record for consecutive days 90+ in D.C. is 17 days. It looks like that record will be broken this week.

It was a very pleasant day yesterday. It was a good day to get out and I cut the grass and should now be good to go for at least a week or so. The official low at GRR this morning was 59 (will have to see if it dropped cooler between readings) and that will be the coolest low since June 26th the low here at my house was 58 and currently it is 59 and clear.
