Reruns

At the risk of sounding repetitious I could almost put up yesterdays forecast for the rest of the week as there isn’t much of a change.

Yesterdays storms missed us by a mere two miles, it was as if a gate closed and the precipitation fizzled as it entered Allegan county.  We did have some wind which showed up on my radar ( the light blue) ahead of the storm front which I captured below.

After the front blew through it became rather pleasant for our evening walk around the neighborhood, however today we will see a rerun of yesterday with mostly sunny skies north of I96 and partly cloudy conditions south, highs will return to the mid 80s and dewpoints will increase.  Storm chances are meager (20 to 30%) and will be featured mainly south of Grand Rapids.  Tomorrow our chances of storms increase to 60% with hot and humid conditions.  We should see temps return to normal values by Sunday through next week.

We had the clouds build up and the wind here. We could here thunder to the south of us and then a half rainbow last night. We were really thinking that rain would be coming, but never appeared.

At this time the temperature is 70 both here at my house and at GRR. With all of the rain so far this year every the grass is still very green and my tomato garden (and flowers) are doing real good at this time.

Local news said some suburbs around Lansing received nearly an inch of rain yesterday. I really need a new rain gauge.
