This is the current warning and advisory map as of 7am this morning. The blue is a winter weather advisory which lasts until 1pm tomorrow.
Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa and Kent counties can expect mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of up to one to two tenths of an inch expected. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are possible tonight into Wednesday leading to areas of blowing snow.
For Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties mixed precipitation expected. Total ice accumulations of one to three tenths of an inch and snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are possible tonight and into Wednesday morning leading to areas of blowing snow.
In the warning area (pink) 4 to 8 inches of snow of the wet heavy variety. Our main concern as with the last two storms will be the wind blowing down the tree branches weighted down by the ice and snow.
Another system will move in for Thursday with rain and mixed precipitation possible.
Hats off to our snow plow drivers, especially those who clean out driveways and parking lots. These guys and gals are up early in the morning cleaning stuff up for us. The heavy wet snow is hard on the vehicles and things can tend to break especially front end components. Plus going forwards and backwards all day stresses transmissions and drive trains. Maybe not the worse winter by the numbers in Grand Rapids Michigan but one for the record books with the coldest temperatures in a decade and probably the most costly winter ever in GR, major floods state of emergencys declared and record snow days for students that’s what this winter will be talked about for years to come how many days till spring lol…INDY…
When they post the numbers tomorrow we will be above normal for seasonal snowfall and I have been skiing and snowmobiling for 10 straight weeks! A winter wonderland! Get outside and enjoy!

We have not been able to hold much of a snow cover this year. I was talking to one of my neighbors Sunday, he has 3 snowmobiles, and he has hardly been able to use them. The one week we had snow, it was so cold he didn’t want his kids outside very long, then the whole pack melted. NWS got it spot on the WWA they issued.. Nice job ! Amounts were lower than they were predicting.. More of a mix is why .. Some on here like to cry fowl because they wouldnt issue a WSW .. Lol !!
Can we hear some snowfall totals for the GR and Rockford area? Up here is TC they have picked up at least 6 inches with 3 to 5 more incheson the way! Snow country is fantastic!!!
I would say we got at least 6 inches of heavy, wet snow between last night and now. A little freezing rain was also mixed in this afternoon.

4.3 inches of snow now out at thee YARDofBRICKS NE GR roads are terrible I told my gals this morning only way you won’t have school the rest of the winter will be because of no heat or power 12 days they have missed thats enough probably a record..INDY..

We received approx 2″ of snow and then a bunch of sleet. Kids may be going to school until Independence Day.

We must be close to the rain/snow line as we have received zero snow and all rain and sleet. Had to help my son get into his car, took 15 minutes to get the doors open and the windows scraped off. Not very thick, but hard to scrape off. Temp at 27.
Took some snow fall measurements and have 3.5″ of new snow here at my house. At this time I am getting freezing rain with a temperature of 26.
