Even with the snow we have had in the last week or so locations are still well below average in snow fall this winter. Here is a list of some of the average snow fall amounts around Michigan. The top ten snowiest locations per the 1981-2010 averages that will soon change.

Here at Grand Rapids so far there have been just 39 days of snow cover of 1″ or more. While that is very low it will not be a record the lowest number of days with one inch or more of snow cover is 23 days in the winter of 1982/83. For information the 10 least year is 40 days in 1932/33 and in 20th place is 50″ in 1927/28.
