We currently have moderate rain this morning with a temp of 45°. This will be the theme for this morning and again tonight and tomorrow morning. The further south you go the better the chance will be for temps reaching 70° today. Looking at the current point forecasts the demarcation zone for 70° will be the M89 corridor from Otsego on to the south. Grand Rapids should make it to the mid to upper 60s. This is thanks to a warm front passing through which will be short-lived as the next cold front sneaks in tonight and tomorrow morning.
The warm front should put down a half to an inch of rain while tonight’s system will be a bit wetter with one to two inches possible with the heaviest rain north of US10. An embedded thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. We should dry out for Saturday before our next system moves in for Sunday.

74 in Benton Harbor and 77 in South Bend right now, but only 55 here. That’s pretty wild to see that wide of a variance in such a relatively short distance.

Getting close to 3 inches of rain this morning – we have had training with lots of thunder and lightning –

Rained hard here in the past three hours. There is some street flooding in areas where leaves are clogging the drains.
