In an earlier post I spoke about the possibility of a cool down coming the last week of July into August which is now shown in the latest CPC guesses which will take away the chances of 90° days. Our temps will still be in the 78 to 80° range – normal is around 80° for day time highs. Night time temps will be in the upper 50s which figure into our daily mean temps.
We are entering the period where we are noticing the shortened days as the suns azimuth declines especially coming into August when daylight really starts to drop off. We have plenty of warm pleasant days ahead.
I am off the Gun Lake Casino to have lunch with my son this afternoon – I don’t gamble (any more). He works at Paws with a Cause in Wayland. They train assistance dogs.
PAWS Service Dogs, Seizure Response Dogs and Service Dogs for Children with Autism are primarily Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers and crosses of the two breeds. PAWS Hearing Dogs may be Retrievers or small breed dogs. Occasionally, PAWS has Poodles or Poodle mixes reserved for clients in need of a hypo-allergenic dog. All dogs must pass specialized health and temperament screenings to be accepted into training.
There is a slight chance of rain early tomorrow morning and throughout tomorrow – our best chance of rain will come on Monday.
I love the looks of all the cpc outlooks! Near to below normal temps the rest of summer into Fall! What a summer! Only one very minor heat wave! Who would have thought?
Been in the mid to high 70’s all week up north not seeing to many people swimming in lk Huron I’m thinking the water is a bit cold I was telling my wife this morning probably one of the most beautiful weather weeks I can remember being up north for late July standards not so hot not so cold just perfect now looking at this weekend we are going to have showers around that should help keep the heat down a little hopefully out of the 90’s in Grand Rapids .Have a good Friday ..INDY..
Indy, You know what happens at the shore on Lake Michigan with a east or NE wind well guess what happens on Lake Huron with a west or SW wind? yes the colder water is brought up and the water is colder then with a east wind on that side of the state.
