We haven’t had a lot of weather which is indicative of wanting to spend much time outdoors this spring. Wet and chilly seems to be the pattern we are stuck in with our active weather patterns this month. Many of us are stuck on our homesteads with the uncooperative weather keeping us indoors rather than working to get the flowers and veggies into the ground. The flowers seem to be struggling this year with the overnight frosts. The warmer air isn’t that far away either. We are stuck…
Temperatures have averaged 8 to 13 degrees below average over the last week. The past week has been one of the coolest weeks for the second half of April.
While it hasn’t been annoyingly cold it is enough to holler in frustration at the sky from time to time. With a positive attitude, we have to look at the recent CPC guesses for the spring to mid-summer where slightly warmer than normal temps are being offered by the computers. However, not one to base my hopes and dreams on computer models I take it with a grain of salt and hope for the best.
Finally it hit 57* at the end of April fire them air conditioners up …Just like the gov says fishing and golfing is back…All around a day to remember ….Great Scott….INDY

April has been a very cold month! When will we actually see another above normal temp day?
Not really. The month of April will probably finish a couple degrees below average. For comparison, January was +6.9 degrees above average and December was +4 degrees above average.

Just saw your post from yesterday.. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have been without my dog for almost 6 years now. Yesterday, we decided on a pup from a litter from Minnesota. We have at least 4 more weeks before she will be ready to come home with us(depending on this virus situation…). Last night, my wife and kids dug out the box with all of Abby’s stuff… her blanket, collars, brushes, and yes, a clay imprint of her paw. I’ve been away from here for a couple of weeks, so I just saw this too. Believe it or not, this pandemic has turned work into our busiest time ever in history. I’m an unemployment compensation consultant. 1.2 million unemployment claims filed in Michigan in the past five weeks.
My condolences, Michael. Jett was a fine looking dog. Our girl, Daisy, just turned ten. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had. I will be a mess when she leaves us. Sorry, friend.
