Another Typical Summer Day

This is the time of year when some weather forecasters pull out their hair trying to predict rain chances especially when pulse storms cells are in the picture.  (This is probably why I am bald.)  In a previous post I described a pulse storm as a single cell thunderstorm which can form then empty itself of rain then dissipate.  Sometimes they can sit over one area and dump copious amounts of rain causing flooding.

Chances of rain are low, in the 20% range today and tonight then chances increase tomorrow with a cold front moving through.

After Monday we will enter another period of sunny skies with near to slightly below temps with very little rain.  Luckily with the spring rains we had this year the grass had a chance to put down deeper roots to help keep the lawns green.

Great weather! It was awesome out on the golf course! Very nice breeze! What a summer! Hardly any heat waves and the outlook looks great!

As of yesterday the mean temperature so far this July is at 75.7° and that is tied for the 12th warmest July with 1919. Hum a 100 year event. (note 2019 should not end the month at 75.7°) Cloudy and 86 here at this time with a DP here at my house of 73°

Another humid day with the dew point over 70, very thick air again like yesterday. On the whole, the month of July has been incredibly humid with extended stretches of dew points over 70 and unheard of dew points over 80. Glad I’m not working today, yesterday was miserable putting in 14 hours. Can’t wait for some drier air like we had out West!

Nice and sunny at this time. Here at my house I had a short but very heavy rain shower late last night that dropped 0.24″

What a summer! Only one minor heat wave! Get ready for a ton of near to below normal temp days! Who would have thought? Incredible!
