Over 60,000 of my fellow citizens are dead due to the pandemic and there still people and some news sources that are downplaying the dangers of Covid 19! How ignorant!

The death total now is about what the 2017-18 flu was in the U.S. That bug hospitalized about a million people, but somehow never got much media play.

I just posted some numbers for Michigan. At this time in just 2 months there have been almost twice the number of deaths then the average number of flu deaths for a whole year. In the 2017 the number of deaths here in Michigan from the flu was 1798 and that is almost the 4 year average. So far Covid 19 has claimed a total of 3670. At this time with just 2 months of numbers Covid 19 is the 7th leading cause of death. On average Suicide with 1475 is 10th the flu (whole year) is 9th with a… Read more »

Thanks for the facts! Covid 19 is far worse than the flu!!!!!!! This is a highly contagious and deadly virus that is decimating our health care system! This is nothing like the flu and this will get far worse if states reopen right now! Now the government is trying to force employees to go to work in meat processing plants that are death traps! The ignorance is mind blowing!

Slim

I have found sites for Michigan and Florida that have the number of deaths by cause by year and here in Michigan the average number of “flu” deaths in the years from 2014 to 2017 was 1796 as of today the number of deaths in Michigan from Covid 19 is 3670. And that is in just two months. The updated numbers for Kent county are now 1137 total cases and 33 deaths. In the state there were 1137 new cases over night and 103 new deaths.

Correct again INDY High temps by next Monday will be well below normal! Low to mid 50’s! Incredible!

Slim

Wow, Just took a rain fall measurement and so far 1.93″ of rain has fallen here overnight and so far this morning. And it has been a warm rain at that with a current temperature of 57 here. So that should speed up the leaf development over the next several days. And of course it will be grass cutting time big time.

Hit 71 degrees yesterday! Looks like today will be our third above average temps day in the past 4 days.
