I was out mulching the leaves with my lawn tractor yesterday and of course, with the wind the lawn was covered again by the time I finished. At times it seemed like a blizzard of leaves falling with all the trees we have around here but hey, that is the price to pay living in the woods. It won’t be much longer I will have to pull out the snowblower (which I have probably used 10 times the past two years) and get it ready for the winter we may or may not have. I have to put some new tires on the car soon which will ruin the chances of snow just as it did last year when I put new tires on my truck.
No snow in the immediate future as temps begin to warm up again. We will be in the 60s again today with the 70s coming for Friday possibly right on through Monday before it cools down again. We should see temps back to “normal” midmonth.

This time of year, I drop the mower down very low. That way, the wind blows the leaves into the neighbor’s yard. 🙂

That’s what we used to do. Not to mention you want your grass short for winter- less chance of mold.
Wow, WOOD showing above average temps all the way through next Thursday now. The mild low temp predicted for Friday night looks to be around the average high for the year!
