Lakeshore Advisory

We have a current temp of 6° at 7 am in Otsego.  We had another 1.5 inches of snow by noon yesterday with just .1 from light snow which fell throughout the day.  This brings us to 25.8 inches for the season.

Lakeshore counties (Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren) have the best chance of seeing accumulating snow today.  A fairly intense band of snow is expected to develop around midday and persist into the afternoon and evening hours. The band of snow will be capable of producing inch per hour snow rates with very low visibility. Be prepared for adverse conditions is travelling on I-196 between Covert and Hudsonville and on U.S. 31 from Covert north to Muskegon.

The cold air is showing no sign of leaving at least through February! Here’s hoping the polar vortex keeps rocking right on into March! That would be awesome!
