July Summary

As with most folks my age it seems after retirement years time seems to go quite a bit faster than when they did when I was yearning for my drivers license and high school graduation – I am sure it is just a matter of perception as each day still has 24 hours.  Granted I have many more hours of leisure to attend to, I still keep busy so as to not become a vegetable and grow roots into my easy chair.

We have had a nice week to do stuff outdoors, with retirement I can get my tasks done before noon when it is cooler then work indoors during the heat of the day, though it has been warm the low humidity levels are still comfortable as long as you are not right out in the sun.

Temp is currently 54° at 5:30 this morning in Otsego – the only rain in the state is up around Houghton.

The area of high pressure will begin to move along tomorrow and we will begin to see a northwest flow next week with a more unsettled weather pattern and cooler temperatures by midweek.  We could see needed rain every 24 to 36 hours.

If you have ever noticed I always use the verb could rather than will.  Could denotes a possibility indicated by current data models which seem to change daily.  With the current models we are seeing a cooling trend into the mid to upper 70s which will be very pleasant by midweek after our first chance of rain in the Monday night into Tuesday time frame.

This weekend looks to be sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s….

Life is like a roll of toilet paper. It goes faster the farther you go along.

He was a wise man.

I am loving the low humidity and all the sun. Can’t ask for much more. Great sleeping weather too with the windows open.

What are talking about? Get real!

Slim

It looks to me that most of the area had about 5 to 6 weeks of very warm weather and now it looks like much of August will be more on the pleasant side.
