Weather Venue Continues

One venue which hasn’t discontinued is our weather, though not much excitement there to entertain us.  Covid19 may last into June or beyond depending on if warmer temps help bring an end to it.  The latest numbers on the virus spread can be found here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#news

I am an avid reader of Dr. Judah Cohen’s blog from AER and he has been showing some computer models depicting warming in the Arctic forcing a shot of cold air into much of the U.S. towards the end of the month.  You know how I feel about computer models, they lie (much of the time this winter anyway).  Once again we will have to wait to see how this plays out.

This is the CPC take March 21st through the 25th.  One saving grace is that temps are generally in the 40s this time of year so below normal should be as bad as it would be in January or February.

We will see our clouds on the increase today, with a slight chance of a wintry mix north of I -96 and rain possible south tonight into Tuesday morning. Pleasant temperatures through Wednesday with warming for Thursday and Friday with highs in the 50s. Rain showers are possible Wednesday into Friday.

It has been kind of a cloudy drizzly day today. “Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow. “

Mookie I don’t remember a prediction from Slim until winter was about half way over… This is what I said on October 23 now I would not get too far ahead as to what kind of winter there will be this season. For one a warm or cold October or November don’t relate to what will or will not happen in December to February. Remember just last May and the start of June was cool and July turned out warm. As for a winter guess as always I would start out at average and see what happens. I know there… Read more »

A friend of a friend is a disaster/emergency preparedness expert and said don’t be surprised if schools remain closed until next January. Could you imagine??

I hope they go back sooner. They need some of their routine back. I know and understand they have to be home now but next January is a be much.

Wow, Trump just said be ready for a lock down until July or August or longer. No more than 10 people at any gathering. Feels surreal.

A couple weeks ago he told the nation it will DISAPPEAR in April when it warms up! What a joke! Don’t believe a word that man says!

Slim

You know with what is now taking place one has to wonder just what the worlds governments are NOT telling us about the virus. I get it that this is a new virus and is reported as not being man made. But one has to wonder where the truth is and the power grab begins.

Don’t worry about the corona virus because Trump said he has the outbreak contained and everything is under control! He also said a week ago that anyone who wants a test can get one! What a joke and he spews more fake news than anybody!

I will say that Dr. Fauci is doing a fantastic job.

Yes that man does speak the truth. He does not deal with fantasies. He deals with science! I believe what he speaks, however I don’t believe a word Trump says about the corona virus, for matter I don’t believe one single word he utters!

I wonder if there will be rationing taking place??? With the way people are now buying that could happen. Or it could slow down once people run out of money.

Through the first 15 days of March, GR is a balmy +5.4 degrees above average with ZERO snow. I love it!

Like most other meteorologists it seems, Judah Cohen has not made good “predictions” lately. He predicted a cold winter and three or four Polar Vortex’s for the eastern US – which we never even saw one.
