The forecast below is supposed to auto detect your location – this is a new feature I have been experimenting with. It pulls in data from Aeris Weather. Please let me know of the accuracy it has for your city or town as I have no way of knowing.
Temperatures are currently in the low 50s at 7am with a few readings in the 40s north of GR. Our temperature was 68 yesterday and predicted highs for the next two days are to be in the mid 60s before warming back up to near 80 by mid week. Our temperature average for today is 75°. Models continue to show temps back in the 60s next week.
Gordon drenched Indiana, Illinois and Ohio – the heaviest of the rain has moved into eastern Ohio to New York. We may see a few remnants of this system mainly south and east of GR.
The hurricane season continues to ramp up with three named systems in the Atlantic and one in the eastern Pacific.
Currents concerns are with Florence which models are showing to hit the Carolina’s shores as a major hurricane with winds over 110 mph. We will have to keep an eye on this one.
We also have Issac and Helene off the coast of Africa. Tropical storm Paul is in the eastern Pacific SW of Baja. In the central Pacific we have Hurricane Olivia heading towards Hawaii. In the West Pacific we have Manghut moving towards the Mariana Islands.
The last couple of day have been a nice reprieve. Thank you, Gordon. It’s not every day we get a tropical system to pass to our south and east.
Beautiful double full rainbow here this evening.
You must have had some rain and sun. I am glad you saw it. Had a beautiful sunset here this evening.
