This has been a rough week. My cat was hit by a car and the last of my older relatives has passed away, all that remains is my brother, a few cousins and me. All of my aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents are gone. I recognized my mortality long ago and life is constantly subject to change so we must bear it with dignity laced with sorrow and continue on.
This weekend will be great if you are near a body of water and can submerge yourself in it to keep cool. We will have our fireworks at the homestead tomorrow, my only fear is the dry conditions which don’t go well with fire.
There is about a 20% chance of storms late this afternoon through the evening so consider yourself lucky if you get one. The rest of the weekend will remain dry and our next chance of rain won’t come until the middle of next week. Temps will remain in the low 90s with increased humidity…

The HEAT is on. A/C is cranked. Temp of 91 and current dew point from Portland is 67. I love these weather stations. 🙂
To bad the COVID shutdown didn’t happen now instead of this Spring. I’m happy to be working again, but man this is getting miserable with absolutely no relief in sight. Up to 90 already with a 70 dew point making the heat index somewhere in the mid 90’s.

Yesterday official high of 92 was the first time of a 90 or better at GR since June 20th and 2020 now has had 5 days of 90 or better. At the current time the official reading at GRR is 87 with a DP of 69 while here at my house I have 91 with a DP of 71. Either way it is more humid today then it has been.
