I spent yesterday mulching leaves with my lawn tractor at home and at my mother-in-laws – there are a few leaves left on the trees at her house so I will probably have to do it again. Here at the homestead it is starting to look bleak as all the flowers and lawn ornaments are gone. The grass is still green, however it hasn’t been growing much with the cool weather.
Our temps this week will remain below normal with chances of snow generally north of Grand Rapids until we get closer to next weekend when the western counties may see accumulating snow with cold air pouring across the lake.
Well, now is the test on on we learned over the past week or so, the answers will be posted tomorrow….

Don’t look now but with the high/low for the day currently at 52/43 the short streak of below average days would come to an end today.
Fairly easy test questions but I’m afraid I may have tripped up on #4. Hope I pass!
did you all do all three pages?
Whoops. Didn’t even see that. Thought it was kind of short. Back to the test…..
Ok, pretty sure I got the rest except maybe #19.
I also mulched the leaves and cut the grass yesterday while the grass and leaves were wet it was not all that bad of a day to do it. Here in my area there are still a lot of trees with leaves on them while there are trees that are bare many others like Oaks and Norway Maples and some other kind of Maple that seem to be late in dropping their leaves. While I do not have to deal with it one yard has some kind of what he says is a Pair tree and that tree keeps its leaves every fall into what seems like January. But that said having lived in Alpena and then Bay City where the leaves drop much earlier and in the case of Alpena where I lived in the woods I know that what one does not rake (or mulch) now can still be done in the spring.
