Snow in Parts of Michigan

Most of the state will remain snow free today with the exception of  Berrien county which has a winter storm warning in place until 9am tomorrow.  Most of the heavier snow will fall closer to the Indiana border in the extreme south western portion of the county where up to five inches may fall.

We have a Winter Weather Advisory for south eastern Michigan due to a system moving to our south for a couple of inches of snow with rain mixed in early before turning to all snow this afternoon.  Warnings also exist from Sandusky Ohio to Buffalo NY for up 17 inches of snow with a cold wind coming off Lake Erie.  If you are taking a trip on I90 down there you may want to rethink your route.

What I Remember Most about THIS November Was or IS The Plentiful SUNSHINE We Had. And YES I’m still dreaming and Scheming for a GREEN Christmas.

Well I bought an expensive set of Michelin tires for my GMC a few weeks ago, and just like last year when I bought a set for my other car, there is no snow to drive on. Guess that’s one way to keep the snow away. As for those who were tuning up their snow blowers back in September, probably should get them tuned up again from sitting so long now.

I bought a set of Michelin tires for my SUV last year. So yes that seems to be the way to go to help keep the snow away. The good news for this winter is I did not drive much this summer so the tires are still almost like new.

November – very warm month with almost no snow.

Looking like at least the beginning of December will be quiet as well. Love these short winters!

Slim

In the past when Grand Rapids recorded little to no snow in October and November the winter season ended up below average in the snow fall department. If we get thru December with little snow all this could be a very low snow fall season. (of course we still could get a big time storm)

Exactly. That’s why I thought it was a little suspect that WOOD just now released their snowfall forecast. That’s kinda like predicting the score of an NFL game after it has already begun.

Slim

No snow here! At this time it is cloudy and rather windy with a temperature of 33. As of this morning Grand Rapids has only reported 0.4″ of total snow fall for this season. The current mean temperature for November is now at 4.6 this month will end up being at least the 7th warmest November of record at Grand Rapids.

4.6? I’m guessing that’s a typo. That would be a pretty cold average! Ha.

Slim

Yes, that should be a departure of +4.6 the mean at this time is 44.6. Dam it tuff getting old. Thanks

Good morning, friends. Our grass is nearly completely covered in a blanket of white. It is a pretty sight. Our dog was not expecting that this morning. She jumped out the back door onto the snow-covered deck and wiped out. She shook off, looked back at me like, what the…??
