Training class for Allegan and Barry county will be held tomorrow (SATURDAY) in Shelbyville at the Luella Collins Community Center (feature image) 419 126th Ave. Take US131 to Exit 59 – go east to 5th street – head north to 126th turn right and look for the sign. The building sits back in the woods. Hope to see you there…. SlimJim and I will both be there.
After a mostly cloudy week we should see things brighten up around here. Not much snow in southwest Michigan this week – we have had a couple inches. Light snow showers will continue through the afternoon as weak low pressure moves across Lower Michigan. Temperatures will drop into the teens tonight as the skies clear. High pressure will bring fair weather for the weekend then another clipper will bring snow showers for early next week. We will be back in the 40s by Wednesday. Looking at the long range we may get back into the 50s by next Friday and maybe flirting with 60 by the 17th before it cools off again.

Maybe a day or 2. LOL!!
I love the sounds of this! COLD, COLD, COLD!
I still believe the models are under-playing this event in terms of
how cold it will be here. Today I did lower the high temperatures on
Tue and Wed but not nearly as much as I think they should be
lowered. I believe both days will have highs below freezing. These
could well be the coldest days of March for Southwest Michigan.
You forgot this part, death of Winter coming soon to a town near you!
Once the upper low moves far enough east, that system from the Gulf
of Alaska moves on shore over the Southwest CONUS and that will
force rising heights at mid and upper levels over the Great Lakes
lake in the week. Highs may approach 60 by Fri or Saturday. Of
course beyond that storm from the Gulf of Alaska is likely to bring
us a significant rain event as it moves out into the Central Plains
toward the weekend.
What a great week of winter weather! Plenty of COLD and SNOW! Keep it ROCKIN and ROLLIN baby!
Let me describe the skiing conditions that are a short 2 to 2-1/2 drive North of GR. Mookie said there are no ski resorts open! Wrong! The TC/Boyne MT area has picked up at least 12 inches of SNOW just this week! The conditions are nearly perfect mid winter like conditions! INCREDIBLE, GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL, FANTASTIC, BREATHTAKING, STUPENDOUS, UNBELIEVABLE, FANTABULOUS, HEAVEN ON EARTH, ETC. ETC, ETC!
Keep up the good job….on the courses I sent you along time Ago.

Word….stay cued..
It was an average to mild winter for just about everybody! Which is funny because most were predicting a very cold winter for the east.

Not much snow this week, and now it looks very dry. Get ready for more 40’s and 50’s next week!
I’m ready Mookie! Death of winter coming soon!!
Liking the sounds of that. Bring on the spring temps !
