For me yesterday was a perfect day weather wise with low 70s and low dew points. At this time (7:00 am) we have some light rain and temperatures in the upper 50s. Since the rain started last night we have picked up .09 of an inch.
According to the CPC we have a 60% chance of above normal temperatures and 40% chance of below normal rainfall through mid month. Looking at the NWS hazards map this morning it is nearly blank which is unusual for any day let alone for summer.
High pressure builds into the area today bringing cooler temperatures and clearing skies. Tonight expect mostly clear skies and chilly temperatures with lows mostly in the 40s. Wednesday will be a little warmer but still expect mostly clear skies. Later in the week a wavey frontal system will bring periods of showers and thunderstorms to the area.
Music to my ears!

Did we have our summer heat in May .. Not seeing anymore 90’s as far as a forcast shows … INDYDOG14!
WOOD has four 80+ degree days in the next 8. More warm summer weather. Love it!
That’s because most of our 90 degree days happen in July and August, not June. Except for the odd years like this year in May, or last year in September.
I love it!
60 in June…must be MI. Nothing more than the Southern Arctic.
If the current CPC guesses come true, it looks probable June will end up above average.

As stated yesterday: after a warm 2016 and a warm 2017, 2018 is also starting above average.
Let me repeat! I absolutely love the facts the CPC is showing the probability of above or below normal temps as neutral! Bring on the below normal temps all summer long! That would be INCREDIBLE!

I’m confused. Where does this show below normal temps you implied? If anything, the long-term CPC outlooks are warm to average for the foreseeable future.
Get real!
More below normal temps for the next few days!
Ended up with 0.20″ of rain here. At this time it is partly cloudy and a cool 56°. Today and tomorrow look to be cool but dry. I think after a wild April and May this month will be near average.
