Increasing Clouds and Rain

A happy weekend for football fans in Michigan – The Lions looked like a professional football team defeating the Pats 26 to 10 (we will see how they pan out the rest of the season), Michigan beat Nebraska 56 – 10, Michigan State over Indiana 35 – 21, Grand Valley over Michigan Tech 45 – 20, Central Michigan beat Maine 17 to 5 and Western Michigan bested Georgia State 34 to 15.  So people will be going back to work this morning with a glow about them and happy faces, productivity will be up and our economy will flourish.

Temperatures this morning are a bit warmer than yesterday morning with 50° in Otsego at 7am (see image below).  After a perfect weekend we will see our weather pattern become more active with the possibility of storms later this afternoon through Tuesday night.  Lightning and wind will be the greatest hazards with Tuesday evening being the most active for storms as we are in the slight risk area (feature image) After Tuesday our Autumn air will be back in place through the weekend.

  1. The slight risk keeps dropping south by tomorrow GR will probably be out of it!! I’m thinking cloudy day with a high of 78* tomorrow.. INDYDOG14!!

  3. Cloudy and a somewhat cool 63° at my house. The race is now on!! If September ended yesterday this would have been the warmest September in recorded Grand Rapids history. But it did not end yesterday and we still have 7 days to go. The current mean at GR is 69.1° Last September was the tenth warmest in GR and last years mean was 66.5° will this year be a top 10?? we shall see.

    1. Impressive. With tonight’s low looking quite warm, and tommorow around 80 again, that will keep the average up.
