Perhaps I can get back on track with the weather today which is running hither and thither but mostly going nowhere in a disorganized fashion of bland unremarkable systems. The sun has managed to make an appearance which is something to celebrate in December but the celebrations are few and far between. On a positive note traveling has been great in Michigan and most of the U.S..
Michigan is ranked 37th in the U.S. in traffic fatalities with a third of those being from alcohol – reported crashes will generally go up in the fall and winter with the deer running rampant and when there is snow on the road. According to national statistics 94% of accidents are caused by human error with 2% caused by the environment. That is a scary statistic.
After a mostly cloudy day today we may see some snow tomorrow with little accumulations perhaps a half to a full inch is predicted. Thursday through Saturday we will see our temps rise to above normal being in the upper 30s to low 40s. I am still not seeing any major snow storms through most of the rest of the month and chances of a white Christmas are beginning to look iffy at best though there are hints of a storm after Christmas day it is really to far out to say for sure. We may have to wait until after Christmas to see the cold and snow return. Below is the graphic of historic chances of snow on the ground for Christmas.

barry has been Showing that same map since November 1st lol!! Keep it coming!! INDY!!
Really? Maybe you can go back and try to find said posts and provide us all with some proof. Ooops, only posted that map once a couple days ago. Nice try though, best of luck next time!
The red maps reminds me how this past summer was. Love it !!
BLOWTORCH!!
GR is already more than 5″ below average in the snowfall department for December with no big storms in sight.
If you recall, last year at about this time was the start of 6-10″ of snow on the ground for 5 consecutive days. What a difference a year makes!
But just how can this be? We were all promised countless times there would be “tons” of December snow, endless “clipper” systems dropping over us in rapid succession, and a December to remember because of the near historic snow falls. Yet all we have around us is bare ground and beautiful green grass. Incredible!
Tracking 1-3 inces of snow coming tomorrow with slippery road conditions I have been talking about the snow on my weather page for a couple days now coming! Looking ahead around Christmas time frame seeing snow showers and cold becoming more attractive for GR we still have a chance for a whte Christmas with our weather pattern turning much colder..Quick sports thought with the vikes losing last night and the Lions winning Sunday delusional Detroit Lions fans still think the Lions have a chance to get in the playoffs lol reminds me of the 80* degree warm winter thinkers on here lol!! Again our Detroit 4 are terrible no playoffs coming from all 4 teams! Have a great Ruby Tuesday MV’s best!!! INDY!!
A dusting that will soon be melted… a true December to remember!
>>>>>BREAKING NEWS>>>>we will see 2 major snowstorms by the end of December! Get ready to ROCK n ROLL!
Wow we actually had an exactly average temp day! This is the first day not below normal for a long time yet all we hare about is above normal temps! INCREDIBLE!
Eight days is a long time?
Well it’s one third of the number of days we had above average in a row back in August, so there’s that…….(eye roll)
Yesterday, despite the Rock guy/gals incorrect “facts”, ended up being sunny and it was an exactly average day temp wise:

Snow is in the forecast even thoug;the warm weather fanatics keep talking about above normal temps! Incredible!
Wow! These are desperate times for Rocky, up this early crowing about less than one inch of snow! Don’t worry 40’s coming this weekend, get out and enjoy the early spring air!
