I was outside last night enjoying the choruses of frogs and other night sounds – the air was very stagnant, not very pleasant. We have a heat advisory for today due to high temperatures and humidity.
Dew points in the lower 70s and max temps in the lower 90s inland will result in heat indices around 100 this afternoon. Upper ridging and subsidence will limit thunderstorm potential with only a slight chance during the afternoon where the lake breeze sets up.
We have a 15% to 20% chance of rain today which increases to 50% for tomorrow. Below is the HRRR graphic for dew-points today.
Happy fathers day! Not going to be a pleasant day for outdoor activities or grilling unless you are out by the big lake – I hate sweating over a grill on days like these…
Happy Father’s day Micheal Slim UJ Rocky ect… We finally turned the air on out at thee YARDofBRICKS where the main temp of 93* today it’s already fallen I still by no means say this is a hot summer like 2008! Temps back to the high 70’s and low 80’s as the eye can see and for tomorrow we could be storm cloud capped not even getting to 90* so if that happens this was a heat wave busy this weekend enjoy . INDY COOL!
BUST! Lol!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE!! It is already 88 here. Another very hot & humid day. Stay cool and enjoy the day!! Great day to head to the beach or stay inside with a/c. Keep the pets cool too.
Decent Fathers Day gift…a mild summer day. Considering we only receive five or six of these in the Southern Arctic, try to make the most of it. Happy Fathers Day.
In looking ahead there is a increasing likely hood that we will see a El Niño later this year. So the warmth we now see could continue into next winter.

84° @ 9am. We’re heading to the lake. Enjoy your day – especially my fellow dads.
Mid 90’s today! 90 again tomorrow. Not seeing a big cool down some on here said we’d have afterwards. Looks to stay warm in the 80’s for the most part according to WOOD. Latest CPC keeps the rest of June above average!
Happy Fathers Day!!!
Now a little update on our 1 day west Michigan “heat wave” The record high for today is 95° set in 1994 when we had 4 days in a row of 90+ the record highest reading on a Fathers Day (since 1950) at Grand Rapids is 92° on June 19th 1988 when we were in another 4 days in a row of 90+ days. I have to work today (yes it it outside) but will let you know if we break a record today.
