Getting ready to take the cat to the vet to be ‘fixed’ so this will be brief…
After another coating of snow overnight we can expect the temperatures to drop once again as high pressure moves through the area over the next couple days especially at night when they will fall into the single digits. Not much other to talk about there otherwise. With the exception of the next system moving in for the Tuesday night/Wednesday time frame this should be a rather quiet week compared to those of the past couple. This system will once again bring a mixed bag of precipitation for Southwest Michigan.
I am thinking perhaps during these mundane weather patterns I can start some Skywarn training here on the blog – just a thought…
The Wednesday storm looks like a dud, however the late weekend storm and then next week look great!
There is a beautiful moon out there tonight! We got some photos I will try to get them to MV Tuesday. It sure is cold out there. I am so ready for SPRING!
We’re home from Holland. We had a great weekend. The kids played five games in three days and lost in the championship game 5-4 to a Chicago-area team. That team was incredible, but our kids never gave up. So proud – of both teams, actually. It was a great final. Now it’s time to unpack, do laundry and get ready for school and work tomorrow.
Nice looking CPC outlook for the beginning of March! Bring it!

Breaking news>>>>>the latest RDB model shows a slight southward trend with the Wednesday storm! If that trend continues look for more snow and less mix or rain! As INDY would say “Stay Tuned”
Seasonal snowfall for GR is already up to 63.8 inches! Can you say above normal snowfall baby!
The forecast low for GR is -1 degree! Who said no more sub zero temps? It seems to me this happens every year around this time. I think the best thing people can do is face REALITY! It is still winter and it will cold and snowy at least through March!!!! Enjoy winter!!!
As for me I am ready for spring to start at anytime. I know winter had a early start then a long break and a restart in mid January but none the less I am now ready for spring!

By the end of this weekend the weather will not be mundane. Cold temps and the storm track will be heading right towards MI! Get ready for a wild ride that will last at least through mid March! Incredible!
