Least snow fall
There have been several years with no snow fall in April. And several years with just a trace. The last time no snow fell in April was in 1998 and the last time just a trace fell was in 2012.
On a side note. As long as I feel ok I plan to get outside and do a daily walk and will get started on some spring cleaning both in the house and in the yard. Not sure how much outdoor planting I will get done this year. I have started some tomato plants but at this time that is it I am not sure if I will be able to plant anything else. On my walks I can get close to a main road and I can tell you there is still a lot of traffic on some of he main roads here in Kent county. Way too much for people just going to Meijer or the so called essential work. In other words way too many people are taking this way too lightly.
Stay safe

- Today Some elevated instability will continue to bring scattered thunderstorms through this morning north of surface warm front. Areas where these storms persist and train could see some rain rates and amounts creating some flooding of low lying areas. We do not expect any severe weather with these storms but some small hail and cloud to ground lightning are possible. - Tonight Elevated instability continues to build and there could be some sfc based instability as well across the far southwest forecast area by early evening. Fast-moving supercells are depicted by the NMM and ARW across northern Illinois and model soundings and shear profiles would support this. Large hail is the primary threat but a tornado threat is also present across the southwest zones. So we will have to watch for these storms moving into Van Buren and Kalamazoo County as being sfc-based before they move east or northeast and become more elevated to the north of the surface warm front during the evening.
Nice to have lightning/thunder this morning. Records broken down south. Arkansas broke 90 degrees today.
I agree with you slim. The only way to get this virus under control is to stay home. Amazes me how many people are driving by the house.
Doesn’t look very organized, regarding “weather” this evening. Never warmed today 🙁
0.78″ of rain here so far from this system. 43 here now with light rain falling. I have corrected the top 5 list for April in the comment section below.

1.22” of rain here so far. The yard was just starting to dry out this week until now.

That looks better! 👍
Thanks Slim! I think some of your top 5 numbers might have got a little jumbled up though.:)
Hey Barry I see what you mean. It did not transfer right. I will correct it either in the post on here on the comment section. Thanks
Slim
Here is a tear-jerker, my grandkids from daughter number 2 sent us some of their artwork through the mail yesterday. They live about a quarter-mile away. They also video chat with us. This is the worse part not being able to see our kids and grandkids.
AWE MV…TOO SWEET! We Skype with my parents too almost everday. We were able to Skype with family to see their new baby. Nephew said hospital was about to allow only mom & staff in when baby is born… no other person…significant other in there for birth of child. That is sad too!!
1.43 inches of rain overnight here, current temp is 45.7.
Thanks Slim – no gloom and doom here just common sense. We have our groceries delivered now and my wife wipes them all down with alcohol. Our delivery girl, God bless her, wore a black mask and we had no contact with the exception of the tip we gave her.
I posted this yesterday and am moving it to this page. I wish people would realize this effects all of us and not one of us is immune to the consequences of what is going on. I am not trying to be pessimistic here just make people realize some things. Also some things that were important yesterday are not today like golf, sports & etc.and believe me there are things I like too. I have a sister who is a nurse on the other side of the state. She called me this evening to say hi and Happy Birthday. I… Read more »
