Very cool this morning by June standards – we have 43.5° at 7 am in Otsego.

The image above was sent in by Mark (East Lansing) of a storm moving into his area (Thanks).  This is why I miss living in the flatlands where I can see storms develop.

  2. After this weekends cool spell it looks like we could see some warm summer like readings for the next week or so. At this time it don’t look to be in the “heatwave” range but it will be much warmer then this weekend. It is not unusual for it to warm up after a cool spell.

  3. This morning was another cold June morning across Michigan as several locations got down to 32 or below and there may have been frost at several other locations. Here is a list of some of the locations that got down below 37
    29° Roscommon and Leota
    30 Doe Lake
    32 Kenton, Raco, Cadillac, Grayling and Barton City
    33 Marquette and Baldwin
    34 Wakefield
    35 West Branch
    36 Gaylord and Seney
    37 Alpena
    The official low of 42 at Grand Rapids tied 1958 and 1933 for the 3rd coldest low for any June 14th the record low is 38 set in 1978 and in 2nd place is 40 set in 1942. So no heatwave for this weekend in 2020.

    1. Wow thanks again Slim little colder then yesterday fire the the furnace up in June, I’m thinking it never even hit 70* today out at thee YARDofBRICKS I will take it ..INDY

      1. Our house must be well insulated. It never dropped below 65 inside the past two nights.

  4. Good info on heat MV. The section on heat index should do a good job explaining it to some if they actually read it. And great pic Mark! That looks awesome!

    1. Thanks Barry. The temp dropped 18 degrees in the 30 minutes after that pic was taken.

  5. The official low at Grand Rapids was 42 here at my house my low was 43. At this time it is sunny and 60 here at my house.
