Welcome to Daylight Savings Time, if you haven’t done so yet set your clocks forward one hour. I have always disagreed with the concept of messing with time and our biological clocks, but hey, we as sheep will bleat all we want and nothing will change. So today as one we will stagger about in our sleep deprived and jet lagged state whimpering especially if you are a Michigan fan – congrats to Michigan State for earning top seed in the NCAA tournament. The Wolverines will be seeded third so all is not lost.
My newest granddaughter is now home – McKenzie Grace – 8lbs 14oz and 21 1/2 in long. This is my 11th grandchild and my wife and I are truly blessed to have such a large family. My oldest grand daughter is in high school so there is quite a gap in ages.
We have a wind advisory until 8pm this evening – we could see gusts up to 45mph. I haven’t checked the rain gauge yet – most areas are reporting between .5 to three quarters of an inch.
I am thinking the snow season will be over in SW Michigan this week as predicted temps will be around 50° on Wednesday and in the low 60s on Thursday. The GFS is showing temps rising to 66° in this mornings run so I imagine many houses will be opened up to let in the fresh air. The warm air may be short lived as our temps bounce up and down for the remainder of the month with cooler than normal predicted for the rest of the month after this week.
We have Skywarn training for Allegan and Barry counties this Saturday in Shelbyville – I will provide the map on how to get there tomorrow. If you can’t make the training sessions in your area the info is here on this site.
