On Saturday I went to Meijers to pick up our bi-monthly large bags of dog, cat and bird food – the gentleman at the checkout said he believed I had all the bases covered – I told him we keep two large bags of deer corn on hand also.
Before we fenced in our back yard years ago the deer would come right up to our deck. Now they look longingly through the fence watching the squirrels and birds feasting. I think the word has gotten out that we feed the animals as we have had a large amount of birds and squirrels around the feeders this winter, more than usual. I often wonder if we are the only ones who feed the animals on this side of Otsego.
Temps here didn’t drop below freezing and the rain started around 3:45am – we have had .02 since it began. Rain will continue off and on through late Tuesday before changing to snow of the lake effect variety. It will be windy today with gusts up to 40mph. So, ho-hum the beat goes on…. There is snow on ground at Boyne as seen in the photo (feature image) sent in by Rocky (thanks). Timber ridge in Alamo remains closed but Bittersweet here in Otsego remains open with a 22″ base.
On a side note I am being forced into some server side updates this week so if things go haywire please bare with me as I sort them out.
