Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa and Kent counties can expect mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of up to one to two tenths of an inch expected. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are possible tonight into Wednesday leading to areas of blowing snow.
For Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties mixed precipitation expected. Total ice accumulations of one to three tenths of an inch and snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected. In the warning area (pink) 4 to 8 inches of snow of the wet heavy variety. Our main concern as with the last two storms will be the wind blowing down the tree branches weighted down by the ice and snow.
Another system will move in for Thursday with rain and mixed precipitation possible.
Hats off to our snow plow drivers, especially those who clean out driveways and parking lots. These guys and gals are up early in the morning cleaning stuff up for us.
